Yarn: Crafting a Maltese Dog
In this one-time class, learners will have the ability to make their own cute little dog out of yarn and a toilet paper roll.

Welcome to Crafting With Yarn. Join us as we craft an adorable dog. No knitting experience needed as we will not be knitting but instead crafting with yarn. Conversation will be encouraged for all learners. I will be crafting along with the learners to show them each step as we go. We will be using a toilet paper roll for the base of the dog. They can choose the color of yarn for their dog. They will need thin yarn for this project to be successful. They will use black beads for the eyes and nose. You can easily find a pack of multiple sizes on Amazon. We will use 2 larger beads for their eyes and a smaller bead for their nose. We will use pink felt for the dog's tongue. I highly recommend a hot glue gun so please monitor your child if needed. Using needle nose plyers to hold the objects while gluing will help minimize skin contact. This will be a fun time for learners to use their creativity while hanging out with classmates and friends. **Thin yarn is needed for this project.

Parental Guidance
Scissors and Hot Glue will be used during this class. You know your child best so please provide age-appropriate scissors and monitor the hot glue gun as needed. I recommend using needle nose plyers to hold the objects to be glued. This helps to minimize skin contact.
