Description
Class Experience
Students will read YA fiction. Students will discuss YA fiction.
I have a master's degree in adolescent social studies education but I also have a bachelor's of fine arts in creative writing and have read tons of YA fiction!
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
YA fiction includes themes such as love, relationships, identity, and friendship- but also themes like war and oppression. Students will discuss any YA book they are currently reading and discuss them. Students are expected to engage in respectful discussion.
