Class Experience

This class focuses on decoding, pattern spotting, creativity, accuracy and attention to detail.
These are all crucial skills for STEM subjects (Including: Science, Computing, Engineering and Maths.
As a qualified Middle and High School Math Teacher I am passionate about making Math fun and engaging.
I believe that we all learn best when we are having fun and my courses are highly interactive   personalised.

I am here to support you in your quest to keep your child learning. Let me help you to support your child to build their confidence and competence with their Math.
There will be an opportunity for you to write codes for other learners to 'crack'. This is an optional activity. 
This will enable everyone to share what they are learning with other learners and with me throughout the course.
Equip yourself for success: > Pencils and paper. > Exercise book or file paper and ring binder to record notes throughout the course. > [For Day 3] One or more brats, split pins, paper fasteners (It is called different things in different countries) > [For Day 4] A 12 inch tall Pringles Tube (other makes of chips/crisps in a tube are available but a Pringles Tube is the perfect size!) > (Optional) A mini whiteboard, white board pen and eraser You will be provided with a code book and printable resources throughout the class.
Throughout the classes there are several low-stake quizzes to assess learning.
There are review questions at the start of each lesson recapping previous learning.
There is an end of topic test at the end of the course to assess progress and feedback will be provided to students and parents on what you might work on next.
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
