This is the first classes in a practical series where you will learn new skills, see them being demonstrated and then do them yourself. You will need a bike and a basic tool kit. Parent supervision may be required. You will: Start to familiarise yourself with the parts of a bike and how they work together. Have an introduction on how to implement a bike maintenance program and carry out maintenance checks yourself. What tools and equipment are needed to maintain your bike, including the correct way to use each tool. Learn how to check the brakes, clean the chain, check and maintain the headset and pedals. This will help to keep your bike in excellent condition, improving your ride.
