In this one-time class, we will play the game Jeopardy where algebra topics interchange each class section and questions change each class section. Topics include factoring polynomials, exponents, roots, & radicals, linear & quadratic equations, fractions, and functions. This will help students review the algebra fundamentals while also having fun. Similar to the game show, students will play individually (no teams) and will take turns choosing a category and a question in that category...
Students will have fun studying and reviewing their algebra topics in a fun and competitive environment.
I have 8 years of experience teaching algebra to students. I've also done game shows like Jeopardy and Bingo with math topics to keep the course interesting. I have worked with students in the age group 11 to 16 years old in a one-on-one and small group settings for math tutoring.
Something to write on and something to write with: pen & paper / marker & whiteboard / stylus & tablet
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
