US Grade 3 - 6
Students will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss how the P-40 Warhawk, often considered one of the lesser American fighters, played a significant role from the beginning to the end of WWII. We will look closely at how the P-40 fought and contributed in North Africa, China, and the South Pacific. We will learn how our pilots, although underdogs against fighters such as the A6M Zero and BF 109, often fought and won. Students will learn specifics of air and ground battles where the P-40 proved itself worthy to be there. I will provide guided notes with pictures to the students for future reference. For those who know little about this important American fighter this will be a great learning opportunity. For those who are already fans, this will be an opportunity to geek out.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I spent eight years in the United States Air Force as a radar technician. Working with the highly mobile radar of a forward air control post I traveled the world in C-130s, was buzzed by A-10s, and became proficient with various weaponry. Since the third grade I have been a student of the history of military aircraft, especially World War II fighters.
