In this one day class we will explore its unique design and the role the venerable P-40 Warhawk (Tomahawk) played throughout World War II.

Students will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss how the P-40 Warhawk, often considered one of the lesser American fighters, played a significant role from the beginning to the end of WWII. We will look closely at how the P-40 fought and contributed in North Africa, China, and the South Pacific. I spent eight years in the United States Air Force as a radar technician. Working with the highly mobile radar of a forward air control post I traveled the world in C-130s, was buzzed by A-10s, and became proficient with various weaponry. Since the third grade I have been a student of the history of military aircraft, especially World War II fighters.
