Class Experience

You hear mentions of WW2 from different angles. You hear words like fascism, allies, Nazis. You hear about the Great Depression, concentration camps, and invasions. The question is, how do those things relate to one another? How did Hitler come to power? What happened to the European countries when they were invaded? How did the Allies fit into this? Why did Hitler decimate Jews? In this one-time class, learners will hear all of these things. This class will offer a brief overview of WW2 by covering essential points that contributed to it. Through a Google Slides presentation, we will walk through these points in a digestible way. The class will be interactive through discussions and questions between the teacher and learners - interaction is key to learning and I welcome the discussion in a healthy manner! No experience is needed on this topic, just a hungry mind!

Learning Goals

The goal of this class is to give learners a basic overview of WW2. They should understand the basics of the cause, the leaders, the allies, the axis, invasions, destruction, downfall, and victory.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
In this class, we will cover heavier and sensitive topics such as death, racism, the decimation of Jews, concentration camps, and Hitler. Pictures will be shared through Google Slides, but they will not be graphic in nature. These topics are key elements to the war and are necessary to the content of the class. As with all my classes, I will present this information with sensitivity and respect.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
