Our class will be taught weekly with step by step videos that are posted each Monday. Since this is a flexible schedule class, there will be NO live meetings. Our instructional material is geared to ages 3-8. However, some 3 year olds will need more support to be successful. All young children will need varying levels of support while learning an instrument. I consider our piano flex classes to be somewhat of a “Mommy and Me” experience. Learners will: -learn about the Wunderbies -learn proper piano posture and hand position -learn basic rhythmic counting skills -develop fin motor skills -develop singing skills -HAVE FUN!
Mrs. Erickson has owned and operated Erickson Piano Studio, located in Missouri, for 25 years. She loves teaching piano! She holds a Masters degree in Music (piano) and Masters of Education degree in Special Education. She strives to bring out the best in every learner!
Weekly piano practice assignment activities. Practicing and activities can be accomplished in 5-10 minutes a day.
Required supplies: Wunderkeys Book 2, Piano for Preschoolers https://amzn.to/3clJQzR Acoustic piano or digital piano with weighted keys Classroom printouts Dice and small tokens for activities Pencil with eraser Crayons/colored pencils Scissors Small baggies or envelopes to hold game pieces Parental guidance is needed for activities using scissors.
Teacher will provide feedback on all submitted videos and photos.
