US Grade 8 - 11
Young people with strong desires to publish commercially should take this class. This includes those young adults desiring to write articles as a part-time income or those writing books. Individuals will learn about traditional and self-published methods. Each session will have a particular focus (see the session descriptions below) and participants' writing projects will be reviewed regularly. Students will learn how to have their writing published in print and web media.
I am a multi-published author in varies genres. I have helped numerous young people get published in various places. My classes are fun and practical. I have helped a number of students monetize their writing.
Homework Offered
Students will learn how to compose effective query letters, revise their writing and make their writing stand out from the pack.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
With encouragement and assistance, students are expected to move beyond the classroom and actually get their material published. Parental help may be needed to ensure the student is actively involved in class and keeping up with the assignments.Grades Offered
Student learning will be enhanced if students had access to their local libraries to check out possible publications, and magazines for possible publication.
