This 16-week (Part 1 of 2) semester long course is designed for students to focus on becoming a writer in a safe environment. This class is dedicated to building a child’s enthusiasm for writing, and to help them experience success and excitement about writing. Homework will be given sometimes, and it is important that it is completed in a timely manner as this class is structured and needs to follow a timeline to allow time for each lesson.
Pencils, pens Writing paper with lines and without Manila file folders Glue, glue stick, tape Scissors, stapler Composition book or spiral Access to upload, download, and print files teacher will post in the classroom. If any other supplies are needed they will be posted in the platform's classroom area.
Students will receive feedback throughout the class in the form of comments and suggestions on rough drafts. A rubric-style grading form will be given at the end of the course.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
