In this class learners discover how to write for different purposes. Learners will practice different forms of real-life writing, including lists, signs and labels, how-to procedures, messages, ads, cards, e-mails, letters, thank-you notes and more!

Leaves of Learning Academy has served over 2,300 learners to date on Outschool! The teachers with Leaves of Learning Academy are licensed and degreed professional educators with over 100 years of combined experience educating learners in a variety of settings. We are passionate about bringing the highest quality educational experiences to our learners. We strive to provide a welcoming, inclusive online classroom community where all learners' needs are met through a personalized approach to teaching and learning. We use research based instructional strategies to provide the highest quality and most effective learning opportunities for learners ages 5 through 12. Join a class and "come grow with us!"

All classes are designed and created by me, Kelly Hall, owner and founder of Leaves of Learning Academy. Our teachers go through rigorous training to assure that all classes are taught to the same level of quality no matter which one of our teachers is teaching it! I have strict hiring standards and strive to only hire teachers I would feel comfortable teaching my own children on Outschool.

Optional: Learners can complete any writing not finished in class or they can craft another piece of writing they learned in class and send it to the teacher for feedback.

35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
