✏️Welcome! Writing is often very difficult for many people, which is why it is frequently not well-liked and even sometimes seriously dreaded and avoided at all costs. If your child struggles with writing, this is the perfect class for them! It is full of exciting topics, great conversations, and interactive activities. By the end of class, learners forget why they didn’t enjoy writing! ✏️This ongoing Writing Wonders Workshop assists learners in developing organized strategies to gather, sort, and assemble their opinions into a well-written paragraph. The weekly topics are lighthearted and engaging so all students can comfortably express their thoughts by drawing upon their own personal experiences and by using their imagination. ✏️Every class, we will begin by introducing the topic for that week, then each learner will be offered the opportunity to state their opinion as well as a reason or two to go along with their choice. Following that discussion, everyone will be asked to draw a quick, simple sketch, doodle, or picture of at least one of their reasons. This helps bring clarity and reality to what the learner will be writing about. The next step involves reviewing the mechanics of writing and then the students are ready to begin creating their masterpiece of a paragraph. As we proceed, step by step, through this important element of the class, learners will be provided with encouragement, guidance, support, and motivation. Finally, each learner will have the opportunity to share their final product with the group. Positive, constructive feedback will be offered. This enjoyable and engaging experience will help bolster your learner’s confidence in their writing and communication skills. ✏️This class includes: 🌟paragraph organizer (OPTIONAL) 🌟a different captivating topic each week 🌟fun, supportive group discussions to aid in brainstorming 🌟creative activities to ignite the writing process 🌟step by step instructions, along with plenty of encouragement 🌟live support for any learners needing extra assistance 🌟positive, constructive feedback for anyone who submits their final paragraph after class 🌟valuable writing resources to print and keep if you like ✏️Here are some examples of the kinds of topics we will write about: 🖍️Which sport is the best? 🖍️Would you rather play in the snow or swim in a pool? 🖍️What is your favorite food? 🖍️Should everyone have a pet? 🖍️If you could create and name a new holiday, what would it be? 🖍️Which is more important to you - spending time with friends or family, or having time to yourself? 🖍️Imagine if animals could talk? What would they say? 🖍️Do you prefer to read a book or do math problems? 🖍️What makes someone a hero? 🖍️If you could only ever eat one food, what would it be? AND SO MANY MORE! ✏️All learners are welcome to sign up for this ongoing Writing Wonders Workshop as often as they like! There are so many new, creative topics to write about. This class is designed so learners can join in whenever they like. Skills aren’t built upon each other, so it’s not essential to attend consecutive classes. I hope to see you in this class! ✏️If you don't see a day or time that works best for your schedule, please send me an email or request a day/time. I promise I will do what I can to make something work!
