With nearly 20 years of experience teaching primary grades, I’ve discovered that food is one of the tastiest ways to get kids excited about writing! 🍪 For years, I’ve used food-themed writing activities in the classroom to spark creativity and help students organize their thoughts in fun, memorable ways. By using engaging and relevant writing prompts, I guide students through the writing process, reinforcing important conventions along the way. The best part? Kids love it, and it makes the writing process feel like a treat rather than a chore!

In addition to my classroom experience, I’ve been teaching online for the past 3 years, connecting with young learners from all over. I’ve seen firsthand how food-themed writing not only keeps kids engaged but also helps them internalize the writing process, so they can use it confidently on their own. I can’t wait to bring this fun and creative approach to your child’s learning experience!
