Writing: Winter: What My Family Holiday Means to Me

Class
Ms. Sarah
Average rating:4.9Number of reviews:(43)
In this one-time course, students will share what holiday they celebrate during the winter and write about what it means to them.

Class experience

Students will hopefully learn about someone else's holiday and traditions as well as how to reflect on their own holiday and tradition. After reflecting on their own holiday traditions, they will be able to share what their holiday traditions mean to them in writing.
I am a certified ELA teacher and taught in the classroom for three years. Beyond ELA specifically, I have over 10 years teaching experience in and outside of the classroom from preschool to high school age. I also have a TESOL certificate, a B.S. in Psychology and an M.A. in Intercultural Studies.
Notebook paper and a writing utensil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class is open to all students.

We will not be going over details of each celebration but rather allow students to share what they celebrate, what it means to them, and then write about what their celebration means to them.

Please remember that all class discussion must be from a secular point of view per Outschool policy.
Please have notebook paper and a writing utensil.
