In this ongoing class, students will receive individualized writing instruction.
Class experience
US Grade 1 - 3
We will begin by discussing different ideas and the main message the student wants to convey. As the student begins to write, I will facilitate the writing process by looking at organization and word choice and by checking for appropriate writing conventions; capitalization, punctuation, spelling, handwriting, and spacing. The student and I will focus on one or two skills at a time, and I will add and scaffold skills based on each student's needs: - Ideas - Organization - Word Choice -...
The student will demonstrate the ability to write by organizing ideas and using appropriate writing conventions. The student will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to use powerful vocabulary and be able to sound out words to spell them correctly. The student will enjoy writing!

The student is encouraged to write one additional piece per week to practice a specific skill covered in class. (optional)0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
