Description
Class Experience
This is an ongoing essay class which focuses on constructing and writing 6 paragraph essays, which includes an introduction, a conclusion and 4 main idea/details paragraphs. Students need to be able to come to class with a topic, 4 main ideas, and 4 details about the main idea. The first class a student comes to, I will work with them on the process and evaluate where they need help or further instruction. Class meets once every week. Each student will produce a 6 paragraph essay, including an introduction, conclusion, and transitional sentences.
I have over 30 years of teaching experience. I am endorsed in School Counseling K-12 (Masters Degree), Elementary Education, and Special Education K-12, and I have a middle school English endorsement. I regularly worked with students on writing essays.
Students need to come prepared for class with their topic, main ideas and details ready to go.
Students will need to have ideas described above ready to go, Each student needs a computer and the ability to use a google doc.
Teacher will provide feedback.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
