US Grade 2 - 5
In this weekly class, learners will practice various writing tasks and complete a short paragraph of 30-50 words. This class can be used as practice for any student wishing to strengthen their sentence and paragraph writing skills but is created based on the elementary level General English Proficiency Test given in Taiwan. Each class will consist of the following: Changing a sentence from a question or statement Restating information Rearranging sentences Combining sentences Writing a paragraph based on prompts Learners will first look at and independently write their answers. Then, the correct answer will be displayed, and learners will correct their work. Finally, learners will write a short paragraph and submit it for feedback. Each class is a stand-alone session, so students may enroll and withdraw as needed. There are no weekly themes, but the prompt material will change each week to offer fresh opportunities to practice sentence and paragraph writing. There will be 5 different prompt sets to use; then the material will be recycled. Prompts will be shown by the teacher via screensharing.
