Description

Class Experience

The Students will:
1. Students will string 5-7 coherent sentences together (at least 3x). This paragraph will include a topic sentence along with a thesis statement.
2. Students will write THREE separate paragraphs.
3. From the THREE separate paragraphs, students will identify the Topic Sentence, Supporting Detail, and Concluding Sentence.
4. Students will make their paragraphs more interesting by 1. turning Topic sentence into an introduction question, 2. Adding more supporting detail, and 3, turn concluding sentence into a cliff hanger for more writing in the future.
In order to be promoted to the next grade level, student needs to have strong writing skills. Strong writing skills starts with being able to write strong and coherent paragraphs.
Due to the fact that this is one class, students will not be assigned any homework but they will be assigned time to complete the work during class. If they do not complete the work, this will be due the following week via the platform. For extra practice, I give optional assignments.
Learners will share their work either by being spotlighted or by showing the teacher.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
