Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a children's book author and a professional writer. When I was a child I struggled with handwriting (there is a strong possibility that I have undiagnosed dysgraphia). I had an IEP and had one on one help with fine motor skill development and writing practice. I hated it, but I loved making up stories. I remember having this amazing teaching in elementary school who let me make up stories during writing time instead of journaling. Creative writing was the only thing that pushed me to keep practicing my handwriting and to get it to the point where it was legible. I want to be that amazing teacher that inspires children to keep on trying and never give up!
