In addition to teaching K-12 for years, I have taught many, many college composition courses. I consistently see sentence fragments, run-on sentences, and comma splices in my students' writing. Now is the time to learn how to identify and correct these common writing mistakes. You can learn how now, and it will become a habit that will help your writing for the rest of your life! We will meet for one hour, and during that time you will receive lively and interactive instruction, and receive varied opportunities to practice your new writing skills. The workshop will include: ---What is a complete sentence? ---What is a sentence fragment? ---How do I make a sentence fragment into a complete sentence? ---What is a run-on sentence? ---How do I fix a run-on sentence? ---What is a comma splice? ---How do I fix a comma splice? This is also an excellent opportunity to refresh and review what you already know.

I'm excited to teach English, Language Arts, and Social Studies through Outschool. I've been teaching in one form or another for over twenty years. I have taught all ages from early childhood to adult in public, private, and higher education school settings. I have a Master's degree in English and another in Montessori education. I have certifications in Montessori education (6-9 and 12-18) and Teaching English as a Second Language.
