In this ongoing class, students will meet twice a week to practice writing. Students will practice writing in a different writing style. The classes do not build upon each other so learners are welcome to join anytime. Each class will follow the same structure. Students will be given the topic at the beginning of class. I have been a certified teacher for the past fourteen years. I taught as an elementary classroom teacher for 11 years, and for the past 3 years, I have been a reading and intervention teacher. Writing is an essential skill for students to learn. Students must learn how to write in a variety of writing styles. This class gives students practice in different writing types.
Homework OfferedThere is no assigned homework in this course. If students do not finish their writing during class, they may want to complete it after class. Students are encouraged to share their writing with someone at home.
