Class Experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
In this one time class students will be introduced to the concept of "house letters." This idea is that each letter either lives in the roof, house or basement depending on where they are written on lined paper. We will begin our lesson by going over what each part of the house means before practicing letter formation. The main focus of this course will be lowercase letters, however if time permits we will venture into uppercase letters. While this skill may seem simple, students can struggle...
- Students will be able to correctly write the lowercase letters of the alphabet on lined paper.
As a beginning teacher I have experience teaching handwriting and letter formation to students.
Homework
Frequency: 1-2 throughout the classFeedback: includedDetails: Additional writing practice sheets will be provided following the class. This is not required to complete and simply given as a resource.
Learners should be able to hold a pencil and form discernible letters. This course is meant to teach students how to write their letters neatly and on lined paper.
A lined whiteboard is preferred but not necessary. Your learner can also used wide rules lined paper and a pencil. For younger learners I recommend a thicker pencil to help with their grip.
