Sara graduated from the School of Education at Northwestern University and taught critical reading and writing skills in international primary schools in California, France and Africa. She has a bachelor's degree in French and a credential to teach English from Georgetown University, and was the head of the English department at an IB school in Africa. She recently founded the after-school program Whiz Kids International, which serves hundreds of students around the world. While living and teaching in California she wrote articles for the local newspaper on child development topics, and her students from her Whiz Kids International program have also been published in their local newspapers. While living in France she founded the non-profit organization Kids' Turn Paris to support the social-emotional needs of children Sara is very passionate about teaching literary skills to her students and encouraging them to be confident and successful readers and writers.
Children should know how to sound out words to spell them the best they can.
