Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to put together a book report in a more creative way. Students will also learn how to put together a book report into a summary. Students learn to be a book critic and give their own opinion about the book of choice of what they think what the writer thinks or what the student thinks about the writer. Students will learn how to grab a reader's attention, or share a part of a story but doesn't give away the whole plot.
Experience Lead Teacher with GA Lottery Preschool for five yrs. Head Start Teacher in Poconos Families and Services for two yrs. East Stroudsburg School District sub for many different levels K-12 for over 20yrs.
Project writing: book review due for day 2 will be discussed on day one during class. (students choose their own book to review) Handout for writing a book review for guidance will be given to the students.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
