Class Experience
This one-time class combines students' love of dogs and Christmas with developing writing skills. Many students do not like planning and writing paragraphs, but they will have fun writing this narrative paragraph; it won’t seem like work! Guided by an experienced and certified English teacher who also loves dogs, students will take a creative approach for creating this paragraph by writing from a dog's perspective about Christmas day. Students will learn about narrative paragraphs and writing style. They will also write a structured narrative paragraph from the point of view of a dog.
I am a certified English teacher and have taught in a classroom for 20 years. I also love dogs!
There is no homework assigned for this class. Students can send me their paragraphs for feedback and/or write a good copy of their paragraph if they would like.
I will provide verbal feedback during the class and am happy to provide feedback for students who would like to send me their paragraphs.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
