Description

Class Experience

Students will improve and understand writing skills, as well as gain the knowledge to write a thesis statement. They will also learn how to engage in classroom discussions and learn from others.
If any homework is assigned, students will be watching their favorite movies and taking notes to put into worksheets I will be providing.

If there is any reading, I will supply that as well, and will not be longer than the form of a quick article.

Due to the fact some movies are a bit longer, homework could take two or so hours, if they choose a longer movie or character with multiple movies/sequels, if they choose to watch multiple movies to gain insight to their character.
Aforementioned apps do NOT all need to be owned, or accessible! Just access to at least one of them, so they are able to participate in watching their favorite characters! If your student prefers to take notes on paper, paper is fine, or they may keep notes somewhere else. No printer is needed; they can access work on the computer
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
  • YouTube
  • Disney+
  • Disney Movies/DVD/BluRay
  • Disney Channel
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
