In this class, students will learn the basic rules for writing expository, persuasive and narrative writing. Students will gain confidence in writing tasks such as, "write a narrative to complete this short story" or "Write the same story from another character's point of view" or "write an informational essay on the importance of accepting responsibility" or "write a persuasive essay on the importance of a good education." These are writing prompts that students will see on school and state...
I do this for a living. Teaching is my game and Wesley is my name. My students do exceptionally well on the writing portion of our state test. I have innovative ways to teach them the know-how of writing essays.
Students will need pencil and paper and a dry erase board and marker.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
