Description

Class Experience

Students will be able to:
√	Use a source text to form a key-word outline (KWO)
√	Verbally retell the information from their KWO in complete sentences
√	Demonstrate understanding of how to use quality adjectives, strong verbs, and -ly adverbs to “dress up” their paragraphs.
I am an accredited IEW® instructor with 6 years experience using this curriculum in small-group settings.
Optional homework: Writing assignments will be completed cooperatively in class. However, students may choose to use the outlines we create in class to write their own paragraphs outside of class time. They may also choose to illustrate their writing with a drawing of a s'more.
√ Bring to class a writing utensil and something to write on (paper/pencil, small whiteboard/marker, etc...) √ PDF source texts and checklists will be provided to guide the students as they work in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
3 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
