Writing Boost: 1-on-1 Writing Tutoring, Advanced Skills, and Essay Techniques

Hello, thank you for your interest in this course. The first step in this course will be to find out your learner's writing level and skill. From there, I will develop tangible goals for your learner based on age, skill, and grade level. This is the right course for any learner, even if they love writing or hate writing. I will help them gain confidence and develop fundamental writing skills. If they are an advanced writer, I will challenge them and refine their skills and interest.

This course can cover composition concepts: how to make an argument or thesis statement, fundamentals of grammar and punctuation, tone and style, paragraph and idea transitions, quotations and citation of sources, proofreading skills, advanced sentence structures, using metaphors and similes, essay and logic structures, and effective syntax and word choice.

This course can cover creative writing skills: plot structure, character development, dialogue, tone and mood, setting, descriptions, themes, motifs, tropes, chapter structure, and formatting.
