In our class we will cover the TIQA Model to writing paragraphs and Mr. G's Model, which goes a little bit beyond the TIQA Model. The TIQA Model stands for: Topic Sentence, Introduce the Quote, the Quote, and Analysis. Mr. G's Model adds reasoning and logic to the analysis. In this extremely fun and educational class, we will learn how to use both models for writing topic notch academic paragraphs that will truly knock the socks off anyone grading your paragraphs. Structure of the lesson: 1. Start off with introductions - Mr. G is a published writer and podcaster who lives in Alaska of all places! 2. Discuss and learn about the TIQA and Mr. G's Model to Writing Academic Paragraphs. 3. Students come up with a topic of their choice (history, English, science, and/or etc.) and write an academic paragraph that will knock the socks off anyone who reads it. 4.
