In this class, students will learn to organize information into an outline. Students will then learn how an outline can be used to write an essay. (This class will not teach how to write an essay. Instead, students will learn how an outline can help them organize their thoughts before writing an essay.) There will be times of lecture where the teacher explains the information. Class 2 homework: Students will use one of the two outlines we have written in class to write an essay.
Students should bring a pencil and a notebook or lined looseleaf paper to class. (A pencil is preferred over a pen so that students may erase any mistakes they make in their outline.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
