Description
Class Experience
Students will learn to create a key word outline to prepare to write a paragraph. I will teach the outline. Learners will identify details that are pertinent, descriptive, and specific using questions. (Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?) Students will collaborate together to create details to complete the outline. Then, they will brainstorm a word bank to use in a paragraph in the future. I have taught writing to many students over my 7 years of classroom teaching. I am a trained writing teacher for the Institute for Excellence in Writing.
No homework
Paper and Pencil I will supply a handout for this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No assessment. Students will have a complete key word outline at the end of class. They can choose to use this outline to write a paragraph if they choose to.
50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
I am using the structure and style taught in the Institute for Excellence in Writing.
