In this 8 week course, students will learn to write while learning how to write four different genres of writing (personal narrative, opinion, compare and contrast, and fictional narrative).

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to turn sentences into paragraphs. Students will learn different genres of writing.
May have to finish writing outside of class, but will have plenty of time in class to work on it.
Folder Journal/or lined writing paper Pencil Graphic organizers will be posted on classroom page prior to that week. I recommend a folder to keep all graphic organizer and writing pieces in. Students may use journal or lined paper for their writing (either one if fine). They will need a pencil.
Informal assessment and sharing final writing piece
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
