This semester-long course will explore the U.S. history contributions of several African-American leaders while emphasizing narrative, expository, persuasive, and compare/contrast essay-writing.

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn facts about African-American leaders who made important contributions to American history while also developing essay-writing skills.
Homework will consist of writing and revising the essays learners began working on during class. Learners are also welcome to read independently to gain more knowledge about the leaders presented in class, but it is not required.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
