Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
During this time of the year, one of the most important tasks that young people complete is writing a friendly and effective letter to Santa Claus. In doing so, they must be respectful, gracious, and clear in expressing their desires to this most famous and beloved gift-giver. Otherwise, Christmas morning may only offer a bag of sticks and coal.

In this very merry class, students will learn the basics of writing friendly letters (heading, salutation, body, closing, and signature) while also learning how to use facts, persuasion, and exaggeration in order to in order to delicately and artfully appeal to Santa's big heart.

Get a plate of cookies and a cup of hot chocolate to help inspire your young and merry writers!

Remember, we are all expanding our knowledge together (including the teacher).
I'm looking forward to learning with you!

I absolutely love to write and share the joy of writing, and I've taught writing for several years; including preparation for state writing exams. I understand that this subject isn't everyone's cup of tea, so I am beyond happy to share some ways to bring your words to the surface. Oftentimes, it's just a matter of sorting out what's happening in your brain and getting it to come out in the right order. I'm here for you!
