In this one-time course, author Jacky Lamenzo will work with students on continuing to develop their story ideas from the previous class. Please note, all learners in this class must have participated in Jacky's courses, "Writing a Children's Book - Intro Course 1" and "Course 2." They will continue working on their own rough drafts. We will share, and give each other constructive feedback in the form of Peer Editing. Part one: Students read their rough drafts aloud. Part two: Other students give constructive feedback in the form of "Compliment, Question, Suggestion." Jacky guides students through best practices for revising a rough draft. Part three: Students take time to revise and make changes. Part four: Students share their edits with the class.
Learning Goals
Students will develop skills to work on a children's book pattern and the structure to write their own story. After the class, they will have the tools to work on their own rough draft to continue writing their children's book.
