Description

Class Experience

In the first class we will discuss the structure of a 5-paragraph persuasive essay. Students will choose a topic and write a thesis statement containing at least three reasons to support their opinion. We will use this thesis statement to outline the essay. When the outline is complete will will begin working on the introductory paragraph. Students will learn how to present their ideas before the thesis statement. Students will write on paragraph for homework. It should take 10-15 minutes.

1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
