In this class, you’ll learn how to become a stronger, more confident writer. We’ll cover essential topics like essay structure, creative writing techniques, grammar, and state-specific writing standards to ensure you’re on the right track. The class is structured around a mix of interactive lectures, hands-on writing exercises, and engaging discussions. My teaching style is supportive and student-centered, focused on helping you develop your voice and writing style. You'll get plenty of opportunities to interact with me through one-on-one feedback sessions, collaborative writing games, and discussions. We’ll also use slides, video clips, and other multimedia to keep lessons dynamic and fun.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to organize their ideas clearly and effectively in essays, including strong introductions, well-developed body paragraphs, and impactful conclusions.Students will learn to craft engaging narratives, develop characters, and use descriptive language to create vivid imagery in their creative writing.
