Hello parents & students! In this class, we will work together to use various writing tips and tricks we have learned to brainstorm topic ideas, create helpful outlines, and write interesting paragraphs and stories. Each week we will discuss various professions in our community and work together to write paragraphs and stories to bring these professions to life. Our class will conclude with a special celebration day where each student writes a paper to share with the class about the profession they are most interested in. The students may choose to dress up as their chosen profession on our celebration day. There will be assignments each week, but you as the parent will determine the extent to which your student participates in those assignments. I am always here to offer support and encouragement. Each class will consist of a community building time with friends (Show and Tell is always a fan favorite as time allows.), reader review (1-2 students may choose to share their paper with the class. This is on a volunteer basis only, students are not required to read their papers aloud.), and a writing lesson.
