In this course, students will learn how to write "how-to" piece. We first review writing sentences that give good details. Students will practice sharing their descriptions and directions orally and then will be giving the opportunity to write their own "how-to" piece on a selected topic In each class students will have a short lesson or review from the teacher. Students will participate in group writing activities to help them become better writers and help and encourage each other to...
Students will be able to determine a "how-to " piece of writing. Students will be able to explain how to do a chosen task by giving detailed steps. Students will complete a "how-to" writing piece.
Each class there will be independent work, some of it may have to be finished outside of class time.
Pencil lined paper other materials will be listed posted ahead of the class time on the classroom page.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
