An ongoing teens-only social club to write together, learn about the craft, and share our writing process.

US Grade 9 - 11

Having a hard time staying accountable? Need advice on a troublesome scene? Characters not doing what you want them to? Join a group of other teen novelists and get help and encouragement to keep you motivated to get the words on the page. 

Note: This class is for teens only. 

What we will do in this class...
This group is for writers looking to stay connected between formal writing classes, to get help for trouble spots in their stories, and to stay motivated to write. 

During this class,...

Students will learn how to share what they are working on and connect with other writers to form a writing community.

I love connecting people to others who share their passion. As a writer, I understand the value of having a community to be a part of, especially with how isolating writing can seem. I've worked as a programs director for local literary nonprofit and love facilitating arts communities for youth.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I cannot always predict what writing students will bring to class each week. Writers will be asked to only share work that is YA appropriate in class.
