Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This course is designed to introduce students to the concept of graphic organizers for writing. These are visual tools that help students to organize their ideas and thoughts and to use them effectively to plan and structure their writing.

Imagine connecting scattered ideas and giving them a structure, that's what a graphic organizer does! It's like a map that shows how thoughts and concepts link up with each other. These organizers come in different shapes and sizes, like a problem-solving chart or a cause-and-effect diagram. They can even help you brainstorm new ideas or track a chain of events!

Students will learn about the different types of graphical organizers, such as mind maps, concept maps, and flowcharts. They will also learn how to choose the right type of graphical organizer for their particular writing task. They will be able to apply the skills and techniques they have learned to their future writing assignments, leading to more organized, structured and effective writing. So, if you want to take your writing to the next level, join us and discover the power of graphical organizers!

**Please be aware that if we have fewer than 2 learners in a class, the class will be cancelled. You can book a 1:1 25 minute writing class with me and request the contents of this class to be delivered if you prefer: https://outschool.com/classes/11-writing-is-for-everyone-25-minute-session-WAQFFSyM?usid=ww4VN1Zv&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link
