Intermediate Level
Writers Delight- Summer Adventures is an exciting ongoing course that teaches students how to write a fun small essay about their favorite summer adventure. The topics covered will be sentence structure, paragraph structure, and essay format. This will be taught at the age appropriate level for writing. At the end of the course students will read their essay to the teacher and classmates and receive feedback from both teacher, and students. Students will listen to the teacher teach about sentence structure, paragraph structure, and essay format. They will be able to ask any questions throughout the class. I will teach using the I do, we do, you do method. Students will receive positive feedback and encouragment about their writing. Students may join at any time. This course is 4 weeks long and learners should have basic knowledge for writing a short essay. Week 1 we will review sentence structures and learn about how to choose our topic- summer adventures! Week 2 we will learn and review paragraph structure and tell the teacher our writing topic. Week 3 we will review essay format including how to write an introduction paragraph, body paragraphs, and conclusion paragraph. Week 4 we will read our essays to our teacher and classmates and receive feedback. *ESL students welcome to join! Student writing will be encouraged and students will be given positive/constructive feedback. Students are required to bring a pencil and paper to class to take notes or write down any useful information.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from Empire State College. I have experience as a college tutor and have helped students at the college level with English writing skills.
