Writer's Clubhouse: Stories and Fun for the Creative Writer
Class experience
Having fun with stories is the focus of this class! Students will hear and tell stories, build off writing prompts, twist two plotlines together, and share ideas with other kids who love to write, too. Class time will be divided into segments for games, creative writing instruction, writing, and sharing. I use slides and short video clips to inspire my young writers, while encouraging questions and comments throughout.
Students will improve as writers and get to exercise their creative muscles at the same time. They'll actually have fun putting pen to paper and be inspired to keep writing stories after.
Students will need paper and something to write with. Students who prefer to type may use a computer instead.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
