They will be guided through the writing process including: brainstorming, character development, planning, drafting, and revising/ editing their work. Students will have access to six pre-recorded videos and four PDF files that can be printed out for their own personal use. A PDF file of a humorous fractured fairy tale reader's theater script is also included. If they choose to, students will have one week to interact and share their work with me. Create Your Own Reader's Theater Script
First, we need to select the folk tale or fairy tale that you would like to use.
Next, you will think of your character's motivations in your story as you plan the sequence of events in your retelling.
Then we begin to write the rough draft of the script itself. Find out what makes script writing different from writing paragraphs.
Then use the checklist to help revise and edit your rough draft.
Finally, you are ready to write your final copy!
