Class Experience

This course is for learners who love Mad Libs and already have some experience with those types of stories! In order for students to get the most out of this class, they need to be familiar with nouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs and know how Mad Lib style stories work. If this is the case, then your child is ready to make their own stories that they can complete with family and friends!

In this one time course, students will interact with a presentation that begins with a brief review of the parts of speech and other word categories used in Mad Lib Style stories.

The presentation will continue, and I will show students step by step how to write and create their own fill in the blank, Mad Libs style story including examples of how the steps work from start to finish. The learners will then practice these steps with me using a short sentence.

After we have practiced with a sentence, the group will be ready to write a class story of our own! Each learner will give at least one sentence to add to our class story. We will utilize the steps we have practiced to create a Mad Lib style story that students can share with friends and family when class is over!

When this class is over, students will be able to create their own Mad Lib style stories on any topic they wish- whenever they want! The possibilities are endless!

If you are interested in this class, but your child is not quite ready for it, check out my class that teaches parts of speech using Mad Libs!
