We will read aloud "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Trout." We will explore the other book titles in the series and brainstorm story ideas for our own story. Flexibility is the key to having a fun writing experience. Learners can use the classic "There was an old lady..." or they can choose another character. We will also explore different items swallowed by the old lady. What will your character swallow? I can't wait to teach this fun and giggly class. Students will be encouraged to share their stories and illustrate their writing.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their fluency of writing complete sentences and build stamina to write a longer story.

Supply List
Paper, composition journal or spiral notebook and something to write with. A smile will make the class more fun.
