Class Experience
My B.A. is in English and Creative Writing, and I have a Master's in Secondary Education. I am a New York State certified teacher in English 7-12. I have taught for many years at the middle school level. My horror writing has been published in a few anthologies put together by the local writing group I am a part of. I love to read and write horror in my spare time.
There is no formal homework in this class. However, I encourage you to take the story you work on during our time and expand upon it. You will leave with so many new ideas! I'd love for anyone to drop me a line after the class in the days to come and share the favorite parts of your story.
A pen or pencil and lots of paper for all of your ideas and writing exercises! Get ready to write!
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Some of the imagery talked about may be scary or disturbing to others. Considering the age group, we will try and keep ideas mostly on paper and in their stories. Other aspects of horror and horror writing will be discussed.
