This interactive writing class transforms video game lovers into lifelong writers, turning their passion for gaming into stories filled with creativity, imagination, and confidence. Whether it’s through plot development, character creation, or world-building, your learner will leave this course inspired and ready to write!

🧭𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐩🧭

Day 1 - 𝐴𝑛 𝐸𝑛𝑑𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝐻𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑧𝑜𝑛 
Students brainstorm and create a unique video game setting focusing on descriptive writing.

Day 2 - 𝐶ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑠𝑒 Y𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑟
For every hero, there is a villain. Students will learn how to write unique and interesting characters. 

Day 3 - 𝐼𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝐷𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑡𝑜 G𝑜 𝐴𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑒
Discuss the elements of plot including beginning, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.

Day 4 -𝐻𝑒𝑦, 𝐿𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑛!
Dialogue is essential for every story and students will learn how to write dialogue with tension and purpose. 

Day 5 - 𝑇𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑆𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐵𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑘𝑠𝑚𝑖𝑡ℎ
This lesson will focus on editing and revision. We will discuss the importance of multiple edits. 

Day 6 - 𝑁𝑜𝑤, 𝑊𝑒 𝐹𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑡!
In our final class, we will spend some time reflecting on the writing process. Then, we will have a fun class party. 


📆𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞📆
We will meet twice per week for 45 minutes in each class. 

The beginning of class will be a quick chat and a quick five to ten minute writing prompt to chase away those creative cobwebs. 

We will then dive into that day's lesson. 

At the end of the lesson, I will assign the homework and the students have until the next class to submit their assignment in the classroom. 

If we have extra time, we will have free write time for students to get a head start on their writing assignment. 

All assignments that are turned in on time will be read and reviewed by me. I will provide my feedback and return it back to them.
