Class Experience

This class is led by an occupational therapist, sharing handwriting help techniques to make handwriting practice easy and fun for all learners here on Outschool. Not all learners are ready for the demands of handwriting-- but all learners can learn about proper letterforms at any age. Join today! 

In this ongoing 35-minute class, special interests and handwriting meet as learners explore weekly themes while reviewing uppercase and lowercase letterforms. Learners review the proper positioning...

Engage in functional communication with peers about weekly handwriting topics. 
Promote willingness to practice handwriting skills through play.
Learn, practice, review uppercase letter formation. 
Learn, practice, review lowercase letter formation. 
Understand proper positioning of handwriting supplies.
Apply proper placement of letters on lines.
Apply proper spacing between letters and words.

10 minutes of daily handwriting practice are suggested.

Lined worksheet (attached in welcome message)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Learners will receive ongoing instruction and helpful prompting during class.

35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
